Spring

Today, Wendy and I worked in the mud outside. She made a mud rocket and a mud dinosaur with clover eyes. I prepared a small area for vegetables. The worst thing that can happen to an earthworm is for it to encounter a 3-5 year old girl. At one point today, a fat earthworm was a scarf for the mud dinosaur. In past years they used to have to ride around in a plastic toy dump truck. The lily of the valley are blooming. I showed Wendy the fairy flowers among the weeds in the other part of the garden.
Tonight Wendy painted her own face for a movie of her own, then she painted mine. It was a superhero movie.
The art closet is actually clean enough to walk into. I found old pens, pencils, inks and paint... I found an old sketch book done with a close friend.
I am finally over my Mother's Day cold. My voice is almost back to normal, but not quite right for reading bedtime stories.
